Here at Nuestras Raices Inc, we’re committed to investing our time and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 1972, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not only by the impact of cultural awareness in our Delaware community, but including grass roots and local area businesses and residents to deliver their own vision!

At Nuestras Raices, we are dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering our communities. We believe that by celebrating Hispanic heritage, the arts, and offer leadership development, we can create a better understanding and connection between different cultures. Our mission is to bridge the gap between communities, celebrate our unique identities, and create a space of inclusiveness and understanding. Through our all volunteer team efforts, we hope to build strong and resilient communities and leaders that will stand together for generations to come.

Our Programs

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ELDP)

Delawares 1st Hispanic Leadership Program offered to emerging leaders in the state of Delaware since 2021. This is a competitive program offered at no cost to cohorts and previous alumni. We provide, networking, mentoring, professional development tailored to individual goals and milestones.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Empowering others through our outreach initiatives. We focus on resource connections, youth ambassadors, and inclusive projects. Projects like the Delaware Kids Art Network (DKAN) which encourages K-12 students to join cultural arts opportunities through partnered programs. We believe art is therapy and encourage it as a form of healthy kids initiative through mental health awareness and education.

City Pride | Pride in the Park | program hosts an annual event during Pride month to offer a safe space focused on inclusive education and projects for our LGBTQIA+ LatinX community, but specifically outreach to LGBTQIA youth.

We support local project initiates through, serving on committees, volunteering and sponsorships. All these services are through various partnered organizations and at no cost to the community. We are here to serve our community, never take away or expect anything in return as one of our core values.
